A little nervous about the fee/quality ratio, but that applies across the board. Ultimately the club need to pick an option that lines up with their plans best. It's hard to scrutinise or assess targets at the minute because we don't know what the plan is for our football. After 2-3 years of Klopp football you could see where players will fit in and have a punt at whether it would work out. We're not there with Slot, so it's very much in a 'trust the process' stage. We all made up of the targets of Frimpong, Wirtz and Kerkez so I'm excited by the direction of travel. I do think we need a striker who is more than just a finisher. There's goals galore in Salah/Wirtz/Gakpo/Diaz, so having someone to knit things together is just as important as putting it in the net. That's why Isak is so desirable. I just hope Ekitike isn't too much of a Plan B rather than waiting for Isak to become available. I do believe something has to be done this window at nine, because both Jota and Nunez are not cutting the mustard. If the nine turns out to be world-class superstar then brilliant, but personally I would have preferred Sesko. There's no huge preference towards any of the names discussed.
I'm keeping expectations pretty mid-tier despite whatever wild fee gets paid.
