Well, the player who lifted his 7 shirt back then, his funeral was just a couple of days ago. Diaz seemed to be smiling pretty brightly so.. won't put it past him.

I'm telling you what I've heard. Neither did Diaz or his Father showed any gratitude to the embassy. Getting money to kidnappers was not easy, unlike what they show you getting $2m to these kidnappers carries its own danger. The money was Diaz's
 
Like I said, I'm not arsed, he can go if he wants to. Fuck him. But let's not get done on the cheap, if Barca and Bayern want him, they can pay top dollar for him. He's not worth the money being touted anyway, not in terms of output. If our stats team are looking at it, you can bet they are saying that it's the perfect opportunity to make some money on him and bring in someone who ticks the right boxes.

£70 million in instalments is a fair deal I would think. That said, I'm a pussy when it comes to negotiating. £66 million and he's yours.

£70 mill.opens negotiations AFAIC, nothing more. They want him and we'll need to buy a quality squaddie to replace him.
