I hated the high leg rule because it's just ridiculous. There were times where players were penalised just at knee height when the opponent stoop low to head. This time Doku had his leg to Macca's chest.

Think Carra made a good point: we all know penalties have a higher bar than anywhere else on the pitch - I'll add that in such a high profile match and in the last seconds, it needed more to be given or overturned.
