Maybe....1 more Italian?

Would he qualify as homegrown from the 28/29 season then provided he ended up spending the next 3 seasons in the Prem as technically he would've had 3 years experience before his 21st Birthday.

I think I'd prefer this to the Palace lad, he looks more of a long term successor to Virg or Konate and is young enough to be nurtured and afforded a bit more time, whereas Guehi will need to play and I don't think he's at the level of those two.

He'd turn 21 before he had the 3 years' experience wouldn't he?

We need both

Actually l, I think he would qualify as HG.

The rule states they have to have completed 3 full seasons by the time then turn 21 OR the end of the season they turn 21.

So he will have met the criteria as long as we don’t loan him overseas for development.

For reference, Cristiano Ronaldo was signed aged 18 and turned 21 before completing 3 full seasons and is considered home grown.

Yes - I think you’re right.

Yes he'd count as HG if we buy him and don't loan him abroad.

You think or you know? Go on, you can utter the words.

It’s whether I’m right in the interpretation that gives me a slight pause - otherwise, yes, I’m delighted to inform you that we’ve finally found something you’re correct about. 🤪

Keep up the good work.

I didn't say he wouldn't qualify as homegrown (I've got absolutely zero interest in that subject tbh).

I just said he'd turn 21 before he'd have 3 years' experience with us.
