Other clubs transfer news (home and abroad)

I think the Dreambeliever rule of thumb is, if they're played in the league for a while, and particularly if they've done well in FF, they're great. If not, they're a massive risk.

I'm hearing adjectives for mbuemo that are absolutely fucking wild. "Amazing*, "outstanding".

Get absolutely fucked

He's a decent player that excelled last season due to the system he played in. In no world is he a great player. Next we'll be saying Chris wood is fucking generational

He couldn’t lace Ryan Fraser’s boots.

Nothing like making a hyperbolic statement while blasting others for apparently making hyperbolic statements 🤣🤣🤣
Saying someone is average for the duration of the PL stay, when putting average numbers up, for an average side under zero pressure, is hyperbole now?

Maybe my standards are unrealistic. Perhaps I need them to be in the toilet and then I'll appreciate this excellent piece of business of a 27 year old for 70m.

Tbf his numbers are really good. I'm just not sure he's a great player overall. Like you say, just going by numbers Chris Wood is a great PL striker. But you need more than that.

I said he’s a fantastic signing for Utd which he is considering they were lucky not to be relegated and Bruno their lot are all shite attacking wise that will be there next year.

Looking at Utds recent transfer history I think it’s definitely up there with their best signings.

When comparing it to the lowest possible standards, I absolutely agree.

Any other club however (except possibly spurs) then it's laughable

His numbers have only been really good last year, and arguably that's because he became the main man after Toney left.

He's a decent player and if they bought him for 30-40 is say it was a rare sensible transfer. For 70m though? No ways

I looked it up and he got 9 in 27 the year before and 8 and 9 in the 2 previous seasons. So he was a 1 in 4 man and now he's a 1 in 3.

For a winger in an average team, that's really good imo. I bet that's at least as good as Mane at Southampton.

The question is can he step it up a level or two like Mane? I say no.

Yeah but he's gone from an average team to a below average team !

I think he's a very good player. I mean - he's a clear standout in a team that finshed in the mid-tier of PL teams. (No stats - pure eye test only.) But that's exactly the sort of player that should be making the move into a bigger team like United. Mbeumo is a good signing for them - and the same can be said of Cunha. Both PL proven, best players in their respective teams.

Leeds United have agreed a 20m euro (£17m) deal with German club Hoffenheim for midfielder Anton Stach.

Stach will sign a four-year contract, with the transfer subject to a number of add-ons.

Once it is confirmed, Stach will become Leeds' sixth signing of the summer.

The Germany international is likely to be paired with Sean Longstaff, whose £12m move from Newcastle was confirmed on Friday.
At 6ft 4in, Stach will bring an imposing physical presence to Leeds' midfield as manager Daniel Farke looks to

is it too conspiratorial to suggest that this is the saudi cabal puffing their chest to say don’t push us liverpool we’ll buy our own player for a fortune then come after ekitike?

If Saudi are interested then it will just be a racquet to free up Newcastle to spend on PSR. They'll probably loan him straight back!
