Enrique has had a shocking few months, he was terrible on Saturday.
I though this could be a left hand side of true width and creativity but what a let down it has been.
Downing has all the talent for a quality winger but not the bottle to be one. Top wingers are often super confident, arrogant show ponies, they have to be. They try a trick that fails, the crowd sighs but their arrogance means they will try the same thing again and again and not care if it does not work, they truely believe in themselves.
That is where Stu fails, he beats a full back for pace nearly everytime but one bad run and it hits his confidence and he turns back into the hiding winger who looks inside and back to Jose.
If you saw him being interviewed before the match at the weekend, he is a shy quiet man in the dressing room ETC, this is not what wingers are supposed to be, they are supposed to be flash fuckers IMO.
I fear Stu will never produce what he should do, he could be the best left footed winger England have have had since Digger, a waste.
