Ah Diouf - a name i have manage to wipe out of my memory.

Did Rijkaard apologize for behaving like a cunt with Voeller?

oh those nice mustaches back in the 80s.... Where did they go???
[/quote]

It's Movember soon so they will no doubt be upon us again!

If he does come, and if he wants to play his favored 4-3-3 formation, i would be happy to see him give Babel a chance in that wide-forward role.

............................Pepe......................

Johnson.....Carra....Agger.......Konche

Gerrard....one of the cunts....Meireles

Kuyt...............Torres................Babel

He has previously used Kuyt and Babel in those roles, hasn't he?

Anyway, that team will not win titles, as it clearly has a lot of weak players. But it can move up the table to the top half by playing some good football. I think realistically we can't ask for more than that this season.

I like two things about him...

1. If there was one manager who can bring the best out of the youngsters Kelly, Jonjo, Wilson, Pacheco etc...it has to be Rijkaard. We also have someone in our youth setup that has already worked with him.
2. He has always played attacking football.

Havent Gala been absolute turd this season?

could it not just be a coincidence.

Also he's now managed two sides in the past 5 years, one had the infrastructure and behind the scenes guys to succeed, the other didnt and he had a 'mare.

I doubt Galatasaray were playing sexy stuff either

What makes everyone think the gobby cunt would get us playing ?

I like Rijkaard, admire his footballing philosophy and generally appreciate what he's done for Barca. However, I'd VERY concerned about appointing him NOW that we are in the relegation zone. His footballing ideals will take time to take effect, and that's time we don't have right now.

Rijkaard is the sort of manager that needs at least a full pre-season behind him with a team, so he can measure who will fit in where. Get Kenny in now till we've got 40+points and bring Rijkaard/(a young forward-thinking manager) in then.

If this goes through, i'd start believing that someone at our club pays a lot of attention to what Kewell says....

Kewell says some ortho-doc is very good - he gets signed as a fitness director?

Kewell says Rijkaard is the best manager he has played under.......

Hmmmmm I'm not too sure about this. I don't think he'll do very well.

Better than Woy, though, obvs.

MODS! Can we bring back the use of W-oy now that it's apparant he's a shit, old twat?

We need a safe pair of hands, a guaranteed appointment, that will lift, inspire confidence, and give us the leadership we need. This ain't it. You don't hire someone like this and expect to win things.

Safe pair of hands you say? I know just the guy! Meet Roy Hodg... oh.

There's a very good reason why King Kenny put his name forward when we were searching for a manager. He knew from the get go that Roy was rubbish and he'd do a better job!

I'm not sure about Frank but I like what he done at Barca. He didn't set the world alight at Gala. However, you can be sure that his teams always try to play football.

The little bit I have read, he doesn't seem to be having a mare but is probably not quite being successful either.
Apparently a lot of their fans are still supportive blaming a divisive board for most of Gala's problems on the pitch (sound familair?) Just recently though,a section of the support seem to have turned against Rijkaard as well.

In Franks first season at Barca they were in deep shit up to appr xmas. Not as deep as we are now maybe, but it took him time to make Ronaldinho and the team gel as he wanted them to play. But a blinder of a spring led them to 2nd in the table, ahead of Real. But there were many Barca fans that wanted him out before xmas.

Is Turan still at Gala? Frank could bring him with him in Jan.

I think he moved. Juventus rings a bell but I'm not sure.

He was almost ready for Atletico Madrid, but the deal was cancelled in the last hour (for unknown reasons). So he is still there.
