Kelleher Gomez Matip Quansah Chambers Endo Grav Harvey Doak Gakpo Jota

Draw will be fine, reckon we could play our u7s and still top the group from here.

Change Jones for Gravenberch who's played a bit recently and I'd go for that.

Think we should be putting out a strong enough team to win this comfortably - some of the players who under-performed at the weekend need to get back out there and show that was just a blip. Guarantee we'll top the group and we can rotate as much as we need to from hereon, give more of the kids an opportunity and prioritise the league games we have coming up.

Agree. We have Brentford at home at the weekend then yet another bloody international break. So happy to field a strong-ish line-up.

Doak nailed on to start as are Endo, Elliott and Chambers.

Kelleher
Trent Gomez Quansah Chambers
Elliott Endo Jones
Doak Gakpo Nunez

Toulouse last four Ligue 1 games DDLL:

Brest (a) 1-1
Riems (h) 1-1
Montpellier (A) 0-3
Le Havre (H) 1-2

Currently 14th in the league and struggling

Easy team talk

"You bunch of cunts. Go out there and prove to me that you are not actually a bunch of cunts"

Poor Lijnders - fell in with a bunch of cunts and still came out a bit of a wanker.

So who is going to drop down into the EL (and maybe provide the stiffest opposition) :

These are on the cusp :
A - United or Galatasaray
B - Sevilla or PSV
C - Sp. Braga
D - RB Salzburg or Benfica
E - Very open : A.Madrid, Feyenoord or Lazio
F - Literally could be any of them in a very tough group, 3 points separate top to bottom.
G - Red Star or Young Boys
H - Likely to be Shaktar Donetsk or Porto.

BTW this is the last season when this will apply - from next season there are no more groups and no more drop-downs into the EL.

Klopp has just said in his presser, Virgil Gravenburch and Jones haven't travelled.

Virgil ill, should be ok for weekend.
Gravenburch knock to his knee, should be ok for the weekend.
Jones small hamstring issue, back after the internationals.

Might be an opportunity to play Mac A alongside Slobbers with Endo at RB, although Harvey probably worth a start with Slobbers getting a rest.

Mac A suspended for the Brentford game, so sure it’s Endo, Mac A & Harvey in MF with McConnell coming on early 2nd half and then Endo, Slobbers & Gravy for Brentford.

So…. Do we chuck McConnell in at the deep end against Toulouse?

If Gravy isn’t fit for Brentford - does Harvey or even Gakpo play in midfield?

Yep. As Stevie says we have to consider the team for Brentford (Toney suspended and 6 others on their injury table) whilst choosing the one for Toulouse, even more so with Jones & Bajcetic both still injured (both listed as 'a few days' which means both unlikely to be available for the weekend), Mac suspended for Brentford and Thiago still out (dead).

So considering where we have zero depth (LB) and injuries (CM and CB, hopefully VvD is back for the weekend) :

Toulouse

--------------------------- Kelleher

Gomez -------- Matip ----------- Quansah ----- Chambers
------------------------------------------------ (Scanlon after 60 mins)

----------Elliott ---------- Endo ----------- MacAllister
--------------- (McConnell after 50-60 mins)

Doak -------------------- Gakpo ------------------ Diaz
(Gordon after 70 mins)

Brentford

--------------------------- Alisson

Trent -------- Konate ----------- VvD ----- Tsimikas

----Szoboszlai ---------- Endo ----------- Gravenberch

Salah -------------------- Nunez ------------------ Jota

You know you even mentioned Mac A being suspended for Brentford… before you named him in your midfield for Brentford…

Mac Allister is suspended so Curtis and Gravenberch are our only two senior options for Brentford. Hope Klopp is just protecting them. If not - could Elliot do a job there?

Poor Endo. And poor me for wasting my post above !
