Don't want him to go.
Not even for 9 million.
We, our entire team, play better when he's playing and I can't see us finding a replacement that's better than him.
He's a damn good defender, plus the additional factor of him being a very good footballer.
We played our best spell of football this season when he was out the team and the defence was more or less decimated, so I think that's an exaggeration, you'd think he was our playmaker the way some of you carry on. The season we finished 2nd Skrtel and Carra played more too.
Wow, so we could have played even better during that period had we had Agger in the team.
Let's keep him.

I've highlighted the big gaping hole in that argument Junior.

Tee hee.

If I knew he'd always be as injured as been the case I'd cash in.

But there's always hope he'll come good your hopeless sods.

Hasn't Kewell actually play a few Seasons in Turkey without injuries?

How long would you be prepared to wait? Another season? Another two?

One more would suffice. Make or break. He knows it himself.

Coud not stand one bit to see him somehow leave injuries behind him and set the world alight somewhere else than Liverpool.

He's had five seasons, most of which he's been injured. You think that will change in his sixth season?

That may well happen, but I think you'll agree that it's extremely unlikely. If we get a decent bid, we should definitely cash in.

Kristian, you'd be saying the same thing a season from now. It doesn't stack up, especially not with a £9 mill.fee there for the taking.

It might be the case that the medical team don't rate his chances of having an injury free season. As fans we have the luxury of 'hoping'... you'd like to think that the methods employed at the club are more evidence based.

I might be wrong, but I've always been under the impression that Agger is highly rated at Liverpool. If he's being sold, I'm more inclined to assume that they've come to the conclusion that he's too high a risk to keep around and whilst we don't have all the data they have, we can look at his past record and see some logic in it.

We'll have to wait and see but is it not right Kewell has suddenly become injury free himself?

For 9 mill £ we should sell in an instant. I like Agger, but his fitness worries are to much.
We cant keep paying a player 70 odd k a week for being fit 40 % of the season.

I love him as a player Jules. Like his attitude on the pitch as well and believes he's the sort of player/type Liverpool FC should build on.

Hence the great (perhaps too great) tolerance from my part. I've still got a feeling Kenny is very reluctant to see him go as well - why as Keni said - if he leaves it's down to the physios giving a thumb down.

Agger is a cracking player but you desperately need consistency in defence, and his injuries have always prevented that.

I dont think there is one fan who would sell him for £9m if he wasnt always getting injured but as he is, it would be daft not to sell for that money.

I'll cling to the faint hope that Kenny believes Agger when he says he feels stronger than ever now. And is doing his utmost not to get injured again.

Show some faith.

X

He's an excellent player so why else would we be looking to offload him given we're in a position of financial stability?

Answers on a postcard.

Agent denies Agger-move:

- Daniel has got three years left of his contract with Liverpool and he's very happy to be there. We don't know anything about the speculations about other clubs and Daniel has no intention to move clubs during the Summerbreak. For him it's all about sticking to the training programme he's been given so he can be fit to play when the new Season kicks off
, Per Steffensen is quoted in todays tipsbladet.dk.

Well, obviously he wasnt going to leave.

NO other club is that stupid, besides he's still broken.

Once he's better he'll start to make noises about leaving if he's not playing and then someone might come in for him.

Unfortunately he'll break again 2 days later and then talk about what a magnificent club Liverpool is and how 'he's going to fight for his place' TM

Haha...

He did play 38 games in his first Season there.. (including Internationals with Australia) perhaps that's what I recalled someone commenting on back then.

Once he's better, he'll be starting every game. So I doubt you'll hear him complaining.
