Have you seen any form of pattern or system with the team this season? It's been disjointed, sloppy and we've neither been a possession side nor a side that has created much in the way of clear cut chances. Of course it works both ways. He hasn't been great, but lets not act like he's walked into a side that's functioning on any level. It's a fucking mess. You know that, we all know that, so it's a bit myopic to ask "why is it up to the team to use him correctly?". In fact, it's downright daft and unfair. A team shouldn't be spending over £100m on a player and then struggling to support him. It also doesn't help that his future is very much with two equally new players, it will take time for all parties to develop an understanding, something that we all unfortunately have to be patient with, it will take some indulgence to get there.
I keep using the Firmino comparison with Wirtz, but it's absolutely true. Fans had given up on Firmino by the absolute bucket load just a few months into his time with us. Then look what happened. They absolutely can fail, but there are a myriad of reasons why it hasn't worked out so far and it's not all on your lofty expectations of Isak walking into a fresh team and system (that's new to him AND us) and hitting 30.
