I've only seen him play once, fuck it I'm getting behind this one! He's going to be better than Maradona!

Last time Liverpool asked the SLB for physicians Markovic tests were made in Lisbon but due to the strike by doctors was delayed, hence the fact that Markovic still continue to train in Seixal.

This is an interesting tidbit. Not entirely sure why we asked them to do the medical though. Mediocre translation be damned.

Some people saying that they only own 50% of Markovic's rights, so that throws a wrench in things. Not entirely sure how that affects us.

Many seem to think they're selling a bit cheap, and he'll be a 50M player with another season of progress.

no idea on forums but my Benfica supporting mates are pretty sad he is leaving . Reckon he could be top class (neymar and james rodriquez were the example names mentioned ) if given time to develop. Guess that will be interesting to see , if the likes of him , sterling , coutinho etc all get enough starts . They should do with all the games we hopefully have .
 
For me (and many others I reckon) it's a case of 'gimme gimme!' so that we can focus on the next couple of big signings, especially the Suarez replacement.

Matic is of the opinion that if the lads starts applying himself in training then he'll be unstoppable. Let's hope so.

Strange that Chelsea didn't follow up there interest then, given I'm sure Matic would have said as much to Mourinho?

Belgrade president originally said he didn't know who signed Lazar. He presumed Chelsea signed him and then loaned him to Benfica for two years. Benfica claim they own Lazar and he is their player. Is third party ownership not outlawed here in England? All these odd reports of 50% of Lazar being held by a third party sound fishy. I bet Chelsea are the backers behind that 50% and are now washing their hands of it to keep their noses clean. They will allow Benfica sell him and recoup that 50% via the 'third party'.
