Spurs (A)

I'm not sure how much Kane's absence will hurt them. I don't have the stats in front of me, but from what I remember they contain evidence that Tottenham actually play better as a unit when he's not in the side.

Stats are in that video above. And they kill that myth stone dead ;)

This season: Win % with Kane is 42.3% (26 games) and without him 23.1% (13 games).

So Sherwood thinks Spurs will play 10 men within 10-15m of their box in a 4-5-1 formation and leave Son to play alone miles ahead. *sniggers

Rose, Davies, Kane, Sissoko and are all out for Spurs.

The suspense is killing me, who's the last one?

I wonder if Klopp will add Matip to the squad on Saturday. He's been training with the first team all week.

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has been ruled out until April after the club said he needs surgery on a hamstring injury.
Kane, 26, suffered the injury during Tottenham's defeat at Southampton on New Year's Day.
No timescale was originally given on the England captain's return but Spurs now say specialists have advised surgery is required.
He will return to training in April, two months before Euro 2020 begins.
"Following ongoing assessment by our medical staff over the past week, we can confirm that Harry Kane will undergo surgery to repair a ruptured tendon in his left hamstring," a Spurs statement said.
Kane has scored 27 goals in 31 appearances for club and country this season.
After the Southampton defeat, Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho said: "Everybody knows who he is, what he is, what he means for the team, the fans, the club.
"His quality, the routines that the team has playing with him, every minute of every game he doesn't play we miss, so every match that he doesn't play we're going to miss him."
Spurs are sixth in the Premier League, six points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
As well as league games, Kane will miss his side's Champions League last-16 tie with Germany's RB Leipzig.

Sissoko and Kane out is a big plus.

I can see a boring 0-0 draw here.

It’s Mourinho and he’s great at killing games.

It’s definitely our best chance to beat one of his teams away from home though and we should be well rested with 8 days since our last game (not counting the u23’s win against Everton )

Watch this if you want to have a laugh:

I know that Sherwood is biased but he really seems to hate us.

I made a mistake of watching almost 30 minutes of Tim Sherwood "analysis" of our upcoming game once before – never again. He's equal parts boring and biased.

Ndombele, Rose, Davies, Lloris, Sissoko and Kane. That's what they're missing. Midfield wise I think they have enough to work with, Dier, Eriksen, Alli, Winks, Lamella, they might even field Wanyama. Striking options, they now have to rely on Son and Moura. Their leftback might give them a bit of an issue, with Davies and Rose out. We are without 3 midfielders, Milner, Fabinho and Guinea's Lallana aka Keita.

I don't see Mourinho telling them to all out and attack us, so we should just keep an eye on Eriksen and their two speedy forwards that could pose a problem. They are going to have a weakened right and left back, so that's a plus for us since our main threat are our fullbacks.

Eriksen has been talking to Inter this last week, either a transfer during January for 20 mill or a free transfer this summer. I doubt he'll be much involved.

Hope to see him play against us, he will be pulling out of them 50-50 challenge for sure. Haha.

Is it too much to hope that we give them a proper duffing?
No, because if they are not up for the fight, I think we will proper fuck them up along the lines of a 5 goal win, even if is at their ground. The fact that Rose and Kane are both out along with two regular midfield players somewhat makes them very .... you know.

They have Sessegnon for LB but Mourinho will probably go with a more defensive set-up and play Vertongen there as he has done recently. Aurier is their regular RB so not sure you can call it weakened .. though he is shite.

He'll defo set them up with four centre backs as the back four, two full backs as the wingers, two defensive midfielders and then someone pacy up front and a shithouse just behind them to foul Henderson. Just crowd the shit out of their half in the hope we can't do anything and then hope to hit us on the break.

Here is the thing... Although I expect the win Spurs have played some of there best football when they have been missing Kane and had Heung-Min Son playing up front

1-3 and a debut goal for Minamino ;)

Well if that's correct then there's certainly no surprises like klopp hinted at, at least in terms of personnel anyway.

Not this season and absolutely not under the defence-minded Mourinho but under an attack-minded Pochettino. There's next to zero chance they'll play anything other than a backs-to-the-wall-park-a-double-decker-bus game.

Yep. Think we'll win by two.

Moaninho has basically said in his pre match pressie that he was going to play his antifootball style and klopp expects the same
