Fabinho is an experienced right back, so it would be perverse to play him at CB, where he did well in a couple of games but could easily get caught out - he already has a tendency to dive in rather than stay on his feet in that position. I also wouldn't want to bring Gomez back after injury and have him bombing up and down the pitch. Hoever was sent off in his reserve game (ridiculously so) - but he still needs a bit of coaching.

I see some are saying 2-3 weeks only for TAA. We’ve got 11 days to rest after Palace I think. So all in all he might only miss 2 home games, possibly 3 games.

If - oh, please! - we are leading comfortably in any of these games, I hope we'll bring on one of the youngsters for twenty minutes or so - maybe Masterson alongside VVD, Hoeven at RB, or Adam Lewis at LB, or Curtis Jones in midfield. Just to ease them in a bit so that if we get any crisis we don't start them entirely 'cold'.

If it's any consolation Spurs will not have Harry Kane and Son. Lucas Moura is still recovering and there is doubt he will be ready in time for their next match

Whether Clyne asked to leave or not the strength of the squad is more important than keeping a squad player happy. He wasn't available for selection due to injury for long enough so the least he could have done is step in when we need him.

Klopp has previously made it quite clear he wont keep players who dont want to be at the club.
If Clyne didnt want to be here, that could have affected both his involvments in training and games.

Regardless, he’s loaned out. Not worth discussing.

But thats fine. What we need now is to keep momentum. Utilize the squad we actually have and not try to bed in new faces/names. We have some "easier" games coming With time to rest in between. I have no problems With a youngster getting a back up role and Milner playing out of position until the first choice is back.
