UK General Election 24/25

Same as Tories, but they use crayons to vote.
Reform are taking votes from the Tories but they are also taking votes from Labour.

This election was always going to be a Labour win but the reform understory is bloody concerning

Can we get a boatload of Northern and southern taytos and put them to an SCM taste test?

We did this in Dublin with an “independent” adjudicator (ie not Irish).

The North triumphed.

It's a bit mad that Labour doubled their seats with very few extra votes.

It really is.

Reform are third in share of votes with more votes than lib dem but like 65 less seats.
Greens have half the Reform vote but same number of seats.

Vote for Reform allowed Labour in

Reform had 4m votes and 4 seats, Lib dems 3.4m and 71 seats, Tories had 6.7m and 119 seats. I understand that it would never be votes equals exact proportion of seats, but that feels totally broken in terms of a democratic vote?

Crazy when you see it like that. Great news if a longer term splinter party remains and makes any hopes of a Tory resurgence next time around more difficult.

How long til Sunak resigns do we think? I think he'll stand down as leader next week and as an MP before end of August.

I wonder if the lettuce would have been the better bet to win South West Norfolk?

Thank fuck it wasn't 13 seats, 4 is still a concern although I'm pleased Farage got elected cos now he'll have to do the job instead of swanning around saying how shit all the MPs are

I have decided to believe that Starmer is way smarter than Corbyn and also more Corbyn than Corbyn and just decided not to advertise that until he's got his feet in number 10.

There'll be free wifi, free buses, free uni education and a new Brexit vote by teatime tonight.

I should also add that by Saturday morning, none of this will be any concern to me as I'll be living in One Ireland For All.

Same as Tories, but they use crayons to vote.

As I was voting yesterday there was a stereotypical reform voter arguing about having to use a pencil rather than a pen.

"Why? She was gesturing to the volunteers"

It'll all be a conspiracy to how they got so few seats.
