Just another thread to brighten the mood really.

I did me some image researching to see if I could find some examples of how fucking hapless this bloke really is. Didn't take me long to find some gold examples. My particular favourite is the one at Stamford Bridge last week. Look at Dejan as Fabregas has the ball.

You can't teach that shit. Fucking remarkable.

Anyway, enjoy!!

#1 - Double marking Skrtel's man, leaving a 50 metre gap to the full-back.

#2 - Looking the complete opposite direction from the fucking ball. Dejan-style.

#3 - 4 Chelsea players in the box, Dejan and his mate Skertz are covering the dangerzone out near the fucking halfway line.

#4 - Just in case you thought #3 was a one-off, it wasn't. Here he is depending space brilliantly at the edge of the box from a corner for QPR's first goal.

#5 - Brodge's face.

#6 - Bolasie again. Grass was ultra slippy.

#7 - My favourite ever. Hold up Cesc, I need to get back into position.

#8 - Plays Van Persie 4 yards onside.

#9 - Appeals for offside.

This cunt sums up our season. Absolutely fucking useless, yet thinks he's the shit.

Heh, not exactly textbook defending...

Rodgers buys a defender he doesnt trust after a few games and then plays him out of position in a 3 man defence.

As I've said earlier we can sign all the centre backs we like but Rodgers "set up" and defensive coaching will see this happen every time.

I've despised him from the first minute.
I hated him even more when I had a look at his Instagram photos and quotes.
It's like the twat is having some sort of competition with Cara Delevigne.

The moment that sums him up for me came in the cup semi final against Villa when he tried that shot from 40 yards out in added time.
Self indulgent and thoroughly unlikeable.

To think you were raving about him after his debut against Southampton, Ryan. Not the only one tbf.

Anyway, yes he's fucking awful.

I can't really blame Rodgers for trying to convert Can into a defender. What are you gonna do.

You're giving Lovren way too much of a free pass, he's been a walking fuckup this season and his mistakes have mostly been beyond what you could blame any particular system. He dives in, he wanders out of position and his decision making is atrocious.

Player wise, if there's a fall guy this Summer who takes it on the chin for our terrible season, then he leads the queue.

Lovren's shite. A calamity all season. Massive waste of 20mil.

I do find it funny that Emre Can escapes a lot of criticism, yes he's being played out of position at right back but yesterday he served up one of the most uncommitted, lazy and weak performances I've ever seen from a Liverpool player. Put a fucking tackle in you big fucking woman.

I'm not saying he hasnt been bad mate. He's been awful at times, and once his confidence went he was all over the place.
But it doesnt change the fact that our system doesnt help our defenders at all.

It's true. I think Michael Cox did an analysis early on when Lovren and Skrtel were the pair in a back four, and it showed that in the system of play we were using the centre backs were getting isolated more than in any other team. We had a back four with two full backs pushing up and a defensive midfielder (in Gerrard) who was offering next to no protection, so our back four was really a back two with no support from anywhere else.

It mitigates Lovren to an extent and explains why he might have been suffering from confidence issues, but then Skrtel had the same problems and was ok (generally speaking). But there is a wider issue about our defensive shape and how we regroup when we lost the ball. We get cut through far too easily.
