That's insane. He hasn't even played for the reserves yet.

I know mate. He turned 16 last week. I desperatly want him to play aswell, even though he might not be ready yet. The talent is there though.

Sama has also been promoted.

Morgan is destined to be the new Mellor perhaps?

Good in the reserves but just can't adapt to first team football

He's not even an option on bench, is it too early to write him off?

It's an odd one, but you could say that Rodgers has had a fair look at him, he played a few friendlies and figured in a couple of the lesser games. So...

Jerome sinclair

Meant to be very very good.

Very

I admire Rogers for trying Is with the kids. Necessity or not, sinclair is 16 years old. The confidence boost that must give is obscene

He does look good and it's good the kids are getting a chance BUT we are becoming over reliant on kids which just demonstrates how weak this squad is and puts a lot of undue pressure on some very young players in my view although providing them with an opportunity at the same point.

Rodgers has proved that if someone doesn't perform they get dropped. If a lad can't cope with the pressure he'll slowly nurture them. Morgan was given a go, deemed not ready yet is still in and around the first team squad. Sterling took his chance, shelvey did, suso still might.

Mental strength is a feature we need

Sunny. Bearer of black linings since 2012.

Completely agreed Sunny. Said this in the Suso and Sterling threads.

All fair and well now while theyre new and it's all step overs and excitement. What happens in 6 months time when they're fuckibg exhausted and playing shite? We hammer them, that's what.

I prefer "Bringer of Reality !"

Yep. true. We are blind and want to be fooled. it is all fair to put a few youngsters out with the second string, but when people who never played a ressie game is thrown into the mix we really shows that our squad is nowhere near as strong as it should be.

But we all know our squad is weaker than my ability to diet

Instead of resting on his laurels and sticking with "established" team members like Enrique and downing etc he's willing to try youth. If the lads are struggling in november then we rotate. Bring in downing for sterling and bring pacheco for suso.

We're making do with what we have. We can't make it through the season without looking at youth

We've all been saying for years how we should be relying on the youth to be our squad players, ala United, yet when we start doing it people aren't happy, can't win I suppose, I for one am very happy with this arrangement, and in all honesty it makes me look forward to cup games a lot more than I would have done otherwise. I really hope this Sinclair character gets some game minutes at the end tonight.

Wilson? God I hope not.
Hmmm I'm happy to give the lad a chance tbh. We might need him urgently very soon so it's best he gets some game time. I know he has struggled a little when he has started but the quality is there.

in general people are not unhappy about the situation. And we should definately live by that if you are good enough you are old enough. Still it is a slight difference in seeing the youngsters as squad players and seeing them as the ones carrying the squad. Some of them will definately be ready to put in good performances, while other can only learn from the experience.

One thing is how will it affect Raheems development if he is the only one we rely on at the wing, and he start to struggle on form and fitness?
Another is like you say "I hope this character gets some game minutes at the end of tonights game". We can't have reached the point where the pattern of the game is less important than some 16 year old who never even played for the ressies should get some minutes only to beat some record? jack Robinson got his minutes without that kick starting his career.

My point is that for especially young players they need to be played at their level to progress their development. Some are more ready than others, and we definately should have the alternative to rest them when needed. I as much as anyone else want us to get these guys through our own ranks, but I also want us to compete on the highest level.

If agger is out we've got Carra, Coates or wisdom to partner Skrtel.

If we move wisdom to rb then fair enough.

Everyone else is getting a go so we might as well see how good the lad could be

Forgive my ignorance but who's he?

Exactly *knucks*

Well, we've been crying out for tournaments like the league cup to be used for exactly this. We know that the squad is paper thinn but hopefully this will be positive for the youngsters that get a chance.

The pressure on some of these kids could be to much, but look at Sterling, he has flourished with the first team game time.

Yes, as others have said, he's a really exciting prospect.
