Markovic and Luis Muriel have been consistently linked. Have seen Julian Brandt's name mentioned a few times, too, and Mkhitaryan again.

We've been linked with Javi Martinez aswell.
Shaqiri (Bild reported today he'll stay for one more year)

Wow, I thought the Muriel link was dead, but apparently we might still be interested, despite his drop off in form this season. £17M quoted is a bit too much though, don't you think?

Javi Martinez is added to pie-in-the-sky targets. Don't think we are desperate enough for a player like him to pay the kind of money he and Bayern will want. Shaquiri will stay at Bayern, probably, and I don't see Mkhitaryan being sold so soon. Markovic added.

Apparently the basis of the Mkhitaryan link is that he hasn't settled well at Dortmund. Don't know any more than that.

I'm not sure what's going on with Muriel tbh. His record looks terrible this season, and he seems to get injuries and even get overweight. And yet, his potential looks so amazing that if he *were* performing near it then you'd expect him to be in the £30m category. So I'm not sure how much discounting for those negatives would get you down to - £15-18m would maybe seem about right.

I guess you'd really need to know a bit more about the exact nature of what's gone wrong this season and how likely he is to bounce back.

I want Griezmann, Shaquiri, Iturbe and three or four hot shit starlets from the lower leagues.

Pesam ive heard a lot about Trippier and Ings. Any others who could make it? Will hughes?
What about CB's? Anyone we should be in for?

Sky Sports reporting that we want to sign Lallana before the WC.
Some rumours on Twitter that Lallana and Konoplyanka are all but done.

*Cue RawkCo entering the building*

There were some outlandish links for us with Marcelo. I see you have a category for that.

How many of Rodgers signings have hit the ground running and kept their form?

Just Sturridge? Case for Coutinho and Mignolet too I guess.

Conor Coady & Jack Robinson area another 2 to come back from loans - do either of them have a future?

I think I'm going to only count players who have featured for a few games in the first team – otherwise it's going to be a long list with all the comings and goings of the youth players. Robinson is added.

I wish we were in for Serge Aurier (Toulouse RB). Arsenal look like they are about to snap him up (to replace Sagna). I only saw him on Youtube, but really like what I saw.

I think I might take the summer off from the SCM rumor mill. I'm spent

I hear you mate. But I doubt you've got that kind of willpower :) You will hold for maybe a week and then some cunt journo will "link" Fabregas or Draxler or whoever to us and you'll be back on this thread, refreshing maniacally…Can't fight it.

Liked Gayle from Palace every time I saw him (not many times admittedly). What do people here thing about him?

I would love us to get Trippier and Ings and would be confident they would be great for us but would cost a combined fee of about £15m (it would be more except they've only got one year left on their contracts).

The more I see Hughes the more I'm convinced he's NOT worth anywhere near the £12m that Derby are rumoured to want. He's the same age as Sterling and yet couldn't even get into the Derby team last night in their hugely important play off game. If all the Derby midfielders had a price tag of £3m I would buy, in order, Thorne (on loan from WBA), Bryson, Ward, Hendrick and then maybe Hughes.

There's a dearth of decent CB's in the lower divisions at present. The best one in League 2 is our player Sokolik who we've loaned to Southend. The best in the 1st division is Andy Butler of Walsall who should have played Premier League football but is now 30, the best of the young ones are Harlee Dean of Brentford, Danny Batth of Wolves or Jack Baldwin of Peterbro. Dean & Batth would cost at least £3m with no guarantee they're gonna be good enough. Baldwin is Hansenesque in style would cost £1m (ish) and might be worth a go.

All the best CB's in the Championship this season have been the older ones such as Upson, Shackell, Pearce etc. The most promising of the younger ones is Liam Moore but Leicester are under no pressure to sell him and they will need him now they're in the EPL.

If we're gonna have a clear out of CB's I'd be tempted to go for Caulker and Lovren.
