I bet a lot of big clubs in Europe would love to have Konate. The problem is if he's made it clear that he only wants Real.
Its rumoured PSG are interested. My issue is if Guehi is his replacement who is Quansah's replacement as we can't trust Jo to stay fit. I suppose it can wait till the winter window to be addressed.
He should be replaced with young-ish defender, that would accept a 4th choice role. Or an older CB who wants to win shit before he retires.

Sign Guehi. Tell Konate he's second choice unless he signs. See how that plays in a WC year. Hopefully he'll leave and we can move and we can all move on.

Yeah not sure about that. Konate is super rapid, Konate is a bulldozer and can not be bullied, Konate has the height and is invaluable on crosses. I know which one I'd choose every day of the week. That said maybe Guehi next to VvD could possibly realise the potential for improvement.
Exactly how I see it. I mean just why would we? Sabotage our defence for £30m when we have no idea how Guehi will work out?
