QPR are building a nice squad here.
Yeah im totally confused here. Here we have a 21 year old with bags of talent and lightening pace and we're not even going for him. Easily better than downing. Only reason i can think is that they think sterling will come on this year. Its not as if downing is in his way is it.
The fact QPR are the only club going for him says a lot doesn't it?
Don't give a damm about other clubs its about what we need. We are crying out for a pacey winger who can beat a man. Hoillett is easily better than downing so to me its a no brainer.

I think if QPR is the best he can do then that's probably an indication of how unconvinced people are about him. I think he'd be worth a gamble on a free, but I'm still a little doubtful that he's got what it takes to make it at the highest level. His highlight reel is great, but that doesn't show him being utterly average for two or three games at a time.
QPR will be relegated this year.

I guarantee that Hoillet is better over the next three to five years than Dempsey.
I also guarantee most wingers will not outscore a striker, especially the one looks for all the time.

Why do people think Hoillet is actually any good? I see an enormous amount of top clubs fighting for him.
Because the majority of managers in the Premiership are clueless and completely risk averse.
They think playing older, proven players will mean they'll avoid the sack.
No, what I mean is, why are people so sure QPR was his only choice ?
'cos he doesn't play for us. If this lot watched Hoillet play every week, for a team they care about... they would be calling for his head within six months.

No idea. QPR have shown they're willing to pay good wages, so it wouldn't be surprising if they were willing to offer more than other clubs.
On a free surely he's got to be worth a punt?
We of all people should know that nobody comes free anymore, it just means we add his transfer value to his salary.
