Reina, Insua, Johnson, Carragher, Agger, Mascherano, Aquilani, Gerrard, Babel, Rodriguez, Torres.

Subs: Cavalieri, Kyrgiakos, Ngog, Benayoun, Kuyt, Lucas, Kelly.

isn't that the exact same team khl mooted and ryan said would be tactical suicide.

does rafa read this forum, then?
khl is an irrational optimist who wrote his team out nothing more than whim. ryan sounds obsessive over studying tactics and learning about the game in as much detail as possible.

if i was ryan and we win tonight, i would feel so stupid and humiliated beyond all belief

Maybe ultimatums have been sent to his desk...

Or maybe he's just giving a chance to two unproven talents against the shittest side in the league, at home.
Hmm I wonder if someone actually found out how to hack through the email system to send him some home truths?

Oh dear. Ryan will NOT be pleased.

WHERE'S THE PROTECTION GODDAMMIT?!?

Even if Lucas and Kuyt started, there still should of been enough quality to beat Portsmouth with ease

Yes, but if we lose tonight he'll be fucking insufferable.

COME ON LIVERPOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!

Well using his prediction that with a defensive midfield line up the Scum were able to score 4 goals the other night. We should therefore have the ultimate defensive force with Babel Aquaman and Maxi.....

We must win. It would be a victory for pie eyed danes over stoical Irishmen.

Oh my God! Great team selection apart from the useless tubby disaster
Its a sick team. Proper brilliant. I think id go with Riera over the Maxi, but either way, its exciting as fuck.

GETTIN LADS.

Who cares what O'Tomkins thinks? We played his favourite bunch of useless cunts against Pompey once already this season, and got battered by the worst side in the league, so I don't see how this can be any worse than that display
it's portsmouth, though. at anfield. don't go thinking rafa has seen the light.
Course he hasnt. But what an opportunity for Aquilani and Babel to SHOW HIM the light.
A sick team? Not a 'flu bug I hope.
Sorry Wilko, i was trying to be down with the kids.

I meant the team is fully bad.

Streeeeeeeeaaaamsssss???

What a surprise that team is! Not to rub it in Ryan's face of course, bit didn't he say Benitez would never play that team?

Ryan could really have a catch 22 on his hands here, if the team wins he'll be happy because, you know, we've won and that. But then he might look a little bit silly for suggesting it would never happen because it would be tactical suicide. If we lose, it's shit because we've lost, but then he's right about the tactics.

Maybe my prediction of him starting a post match thread with the intention of him analysing the game, only for him to crumble and join us in calling the whole team a bunch of cunts, could come sooner than anticipated and perhaps even after a win.

A nice little sub-plot to a horrendously dull season.

Aquilani has got to start.

Babel too.

And Maxi.

................................REINA...............................

JOHNSON..........CARRA......AGGER...........INSUA

.....................MASHER.........GERRARD...............

MAXI..........................AQUILANI..............BABEL

................................TORRES............................

Gerrard and Aqui can swap around a bit. That's probably our most balanced team at the moment. Pace and hardwork combined with good passing skills and players who can beat their marker.
That could be the dream team right now, though I think I'd die of shock if that's what Rafa plays.
Has anyone seen Fallon tonight?

FASCINATING though don't you think? Does his head explode if we draw?

I think Dossena was playing at left back last time around, we've instead put Insua there now, so that's the attacks down the flanks sorted out.
