So there’s obviously a large gap in our defensive midfield and it seems we are struggling to lock down our targets.

How would you like Pierre-Emile Højbjerg in that position for us?

He’s criminally underated by a lot of English pundits it seems but he’s a fantastic player really with grit and heart and determination to top off his wide range of qualities on and off the ball.

28-years-old and cheap (in comparison) and a Klopp kinda player I’d say.

Probably heading for Atlético Madrid but would you fancy us to be in the mix?

He's the sort of signing I expected us to make when it looked like we were getting Lavia - a fairly inexpensive, hold the fort option until Lavia could take over as the first team pick. But he'd have to be one of two, and I have no idea who we're looking at now. It would be a massive comedown to go from spending £110m on Caicedo to signing Hojberg, unfortunately.
 
No - we are going to get Ibrahim Sangare and Lavia , our resident FSG contact on this site has told us that, and its playing out like that right now.
 
His passing-game is contrary to popular belief very very good and in combination with the pace we’ve got upfront it could be a real asset for us.

4 goals and 5 assists with Spurs last season is not a bad return either from a DM, but I get it, you prob hate his guts and I kinda knew that I’d prob be very isolated on here mentioning him.

But he’d still be a great buy for us for about 1/4 of the cost of Caicedo.
 
Not the worst player we could sign but he's not a signing that'll please many fans, certainly wouldn't be looking at more than £15-20m.

Probably a little too slow for what we'd want & too old to have any re-sale value.
 
New manager, new plans maybe. Maybe looking to cash in?

He's been a regular with both Conte and Jose.

Spurs fans want shot of him. They think he's useless, makes too many mistakes, gets caught out of position, loses possession in dangerous areas.. Basically everything you don't want in a DM..

Stay well clear

It it was him or no one then I'd go with no one
