In a little more than a week the Under-21 Euros in Italy get underway.

If anyone cares we could keep the squads, the ones to watch out for etc. in here.

Group A
Belgium
Italy
Poland
Spain

Group B
Austria
Denmark
Germany
Serbia

Group C
Croatia
England
France
Romania

Denmark squad (those in bold are the ones to watch out for imo).

Keepers
Daniel Iversen, Oldham
Oskar Snorre Olsen, Lyngby BK
Peter Vindahl Jensen, FC Nordsjælland

Defenders
Andreas Poulsen, Borussia Mönchengladbach
Asger Sørensen, Regensburg
Jacob Rasmussen, Empoli
Joakim Mæhle, Genk
Mads Valentin Pedersen, FC Nordsjælland
Rasmus Nissen, AFC Ajax
Victor Nelsson, FC Nordsjælland
Joachim Andersen, Sampdoria

Midfielders
Jens Stage, AGF
Mathias Jensen, Celta Vigo
Magnus Kofod Andersen, FC Nordsjælland
Philip Billing, Huddersfield Town
Oliver Abildgaard, AaB
Anders Dreyer, St. Mirren
Andreas Skov Olsen, FC Nordsjælland
Robert Skov, FC København

Forwards
Jacob Bruun Larsen, Borussia Dortmund
Jonas Wind, FC København

Marcus Ingvartsen, Genk
Mikkel Duelund, Dynamo Kiev

Prediction:
It's always difficult to guess the outcome of these U21 tournaments as they seem slightly more random at times, but I don't think I've ever seen a better Danish squad than this one, and this even without the likes of Kasper Dolberg and Andreas Christensen. Could go all the way, but their first game against Germany will be decisive (for both countries).

Possible line-ups:

Iversen

Poulsen or Valentin
Andersen
Nelsson
Nissen or Mæhle

Billing
Jensen
Kofod Andersen

Skov Olsen
Bruun Larsen
Skov

How many of our squad/academy involved - any idea?

England squad in full:

It does look a little profile-weak doesn't it? Whom to look out for and who's missing from the list? Hudson-Odoi and Sancho are the most obvious ones I guess.

Wan-Bissaka, Gray, Sessegnon and Foden the ones to look out for - anyone else?

The squad list
1. Dean Henderson
2. Aaran Wan-Bissaka
3. Jay Dasilva
4. Jake Clarke-Salter
5. Fikayo Tomori
6. Kieran Dowell
7. Demarai Gray
8. James Maddison
9. Dominic Solanke
10. Phil Foden
11. Ryan Sessegnon
12. Jonjoe Kenny
13. Angus Gunn
14. Lloyd Kelly
15. Ezri Konsa
16. Hamza Choudhury
17. Harvey Barnes
18. Mason Mount
19. Dominic Calvert-Lewin
20. Morgan Gibbs-White
21. Reiss Nelson
22. Freddie Woodman
23. Tammy Abraham

Reiss Nelson - Hamza is a really good DM (if he plays) and interested to see how Gray and Maddison perform.
Thought Gibbs-White looked good for Wolves whenever I saw him.
Is that the Lloyd Kelly?

Ha, actually googled Lloyd Kelly as the name seemed familiar, he's a defender who has recently joined Bournemouth.

And yeah forgot about Maddison, he seems highly rated too. This U21 England team seems pretty like a very balanced team overall but perhaps lacking one of Hudson or Sancho for that final spark?

Something about that no. 1 bothers me...but I love no. 17 for some reason.

It's a different tournament, but Ukraine just won the FIFA U-20 World Cup, beating South Korea 3:1 in the final:

Don't ask me about which players are good, I don't know any of them. I think the best Ukrainian talents are Zinchenko and Lunin and they are already at Man City and Real Madrid respectively.

I'm going to back Denmark to beat Germany tonight, the odds seems well lucrative. Germany will always be clear favorites in games against smaller nations but if you look at the available players in the two teams there shouldn't be much between them really in terms of clubs and playingtime.

So I've backed them at odds 5 (the equivalent to 4/1) tonight. We'll see.

Right, I'll join you for a tenner.

The fuck is Jonathan Tah doing on the pitch? Is he still considered as a U21?

I think the U21 squad looks great.

Gunn in goal surely - he was great for Saints. Henderson had a good season at Sheff United but must have been pipped now.

Wan-Bissaka, Maddison, Gray, Solanke, Foden, Sessegnon, Barnes, Choudhury, DCL, Tammy Abraham all really really promising players.

Gray and Sessegnon on the wings with Solanke in central. Looks dangerous.

I wouldnt be surprised if they started Abrahams given his form this year. Maddison in behind protected by Foden & Choudhury. That team should be going deep into the tournament.
