Fabregas

What makes you think that?

When he played for arsenal, especially at the end, I always thought he looked like he was playing for himself. He was very lazy when they didn't have the ball, seemed to just run wherever he wanted to when they had it, except with a view to creating space for someone else. They always looked really dodgy when he was in midfield. He made bad decisions throughout most games. I was disappointed when they sold him because I thought they might start winning things again!

Maybe he's different for Barca though.

I wouldn't be massively arsed about getting him to be honest but I'd love to see the arsenal fans gutted about it, united fans too as they seem to think that if he doesnt go to arsenal of course he'd love to play for their id table club

how would he be a massive signing for them? who would he displace.....

In that midfield? Anyone. He's top quality and his return would be a big lift for the team and fans.
Listen to most Gooners and they all moan about pretty much all their midfield bar Wilshere and occasionally Ramsay. Neither of whom are as good as Fab. He knows the club, staff, manager, some of the squad, London and the Prem. No brainer signing.

Speaking of Arsenal fans, they seem to think they're getting Sturridge.

Dildos.

Haha yea man, I don't know which is worse, this or them going after Suarez last year.

Grandious delusions.

Edit: Forgot Suarez wanted to talk to them.

Hmm he doesn't strike me as the selfish sort but then maybe you remember the Arsenal days better than me. Certainly at Barca it feels like he's put himself out for the sake of the team as he's often played as false #9 and out wide.

I wonder who is the more self righteous, delusional and annoying out of Arsenal and Spurs fans?

No thanks, he's been here in the PL, nothing to prove and will cost a fortune. Those players rarely deliver. A younger Hungrier option please.

A) he's not exactly 'old'
B) he was a very good footballer in the PL
C) not making the cut at barca? Surely that gives him plenty to prove
D) mooted £30m release clause - similar value to Lallana, albeit higher wages

He's better than just about every midfield option we have and by all accounts has show good ability and desire at Barcelona , don't let the second bite of the cherry thing mystify just how capable he is.

Fabregas is not our type of signing - not the type of player we want. There's a reason why Arsenal won basically zilch while he was there - he was a central figure in their team and he's mentally weak.

Remember when they came to ours in the CL. They played some awesome football in the first 30 and Fabregas was a big part of it but when the game got tough he couldn't be found. He's a sensational talent - no doubt about it, with all the ability going around - but someone like Suarez would chew him up and spit him out. Fabregas is just not a winner IMHO - he's not someone who sees you through the tough moments in a season. A flat track bully is possibly a little too harsh but he's closer to that description than he is to the concept of a true winner. We need winners at LFC - players who expect to win, who know how to win and know the determination, guts and fortitude that is needed to do so.

If he were to sign it would be a massive signal of intent but, IMO, move us no closer to the title.

Fabregas this summer is the 2013 Robben, the 2012 Ribery, the 2011 David Villa, the 2010 Thierry Henry, and the 2004-2009 Zidane.

I.e. The fucking signing that will never happen for 7 billion reasons, yet cunts talk about it for 7 billion pages on this forum.

You're probably right but Twitter saying that he's agreed to go to England and that Arse and Utd aren't in for him. Also that Ayre has been taking to Barca.

Probably a case of 2+2=5 but we can dream.

Are we talking of the same cesc here?

The one that won the league with Barca last season and part of Spain team that won last world cup and euros.

Imagine waiting your whole career for a move back to your hometown club, the one that brought you through their youth ranks, and then 3 seasons later you're discarded.

This is like Steven Gerrard leaving at 16 for first team football, making a name for himself at Barcelona, and then returning to a heros welcome at 24..then being sold again 3 years later, LOL

There's no chance. Whilst fsg & 'moneyball' don't seem completely married to each other, the basic premise of nor paying incredible fees & wages for a 30 year old will be followed.

You'll have to excuse me if, for some reason, I don't believe that Fabregas was an essential focal point or driving force in either of those teams.
