20 mill is fair. Jose Sa is on his way of Wolves so it makes sense.
We'll sign an older experienced GK is my guess.

Is Pitaluga ready for the backup position,
or do we have to go sign another keeper?
I think £20 mill is fair.
There should be some GK available on a free somewhereHe isn't even number 3 so how does he get number 2? As long its not nervy Adrian. Wes Foderingham of Sheffield United should be cheap. He was rated the best goal keeper in the Championship?
David D......There should be some GK available on a free somewhere
Loads of GK that are free, like De Gaya. Home grown is what we need, and the only I could see is Joe Lumley. Most GK are cheap.. they should buy someoneThere should be some GK available on a free somewhere
Honestly, bring him on, if he's willing to play second fiddle and is asking for peanutsDavid D......
Actually nevermind
Hah, good 1.Honestly, bring him on, he's willing to play second fiddle and is asking for peanuts
I think what @Hansern meant was, anyone but Adrian that's old and experienced and not completely dogshit.
I get the impression that Adrian's role in the squad is more as the guy in the nets on the training ground doing loads of work while the outfield players are doing training drills (and the other keepers are training with the specialist coaches).
I remember reading something recently, in an international context, which talked about how the number 3 keeper was an unsung hero in the 23-man squad. The number 1 obviously did the business in games, the number 3 worked hard with training drills and the number 2 keeper was basically a fifth wheel unless the number 1 got injured.
So we either promote Adrian to number 2 or get a replacement number 2 in. I'd prefer the latter, partly because I'm not a fan of what Adrian has brought to first team football when he has played, but also because I think we should look for a longer-term solution at number 2. And if Adrian is doing a good job in training and he's happy with that number 3 roles (which he seems to be) then he should stay in that role.
Yeah, and also be the one who risks getting injured in training because he is dispensable. So basically what you are saying is the role of the 3rd goalkeeper is to tell a few jokes, be a good egg, and help Allison with his training drills by throwing balls at him. How do I apply for this job?

Agree - It would suck because he's ace though. Absolutely wouldn't begrudge him if he does go. 20mill seems decent. If wolves get him it would a coup for them.I’d take 20 with a sell on or buyback. Shame he finds himself behind the best in the world at his peak otherwise I’d like to see him given a shot. Can never complain about someone leaving to further their career.
Great idea!!I want to keep him, but if we are into midfielders these days, how about we sell and get in part exchange plus a little bit of cash for M.Nunes
Great idea!!
Wouldn't mind that at all tbh.
But with Moutinho & Neves both gone, on top of Dendonker leaving last Jan...don't think they'd wanna sell another midfielder...not sure who they even have left.
