So is this the current consensus on all of Kennoli's signings to date...From what we have seen?

Suarez - good signing
Enrique - good signing
Downing - good signing
Bellamy - good signing

Carroll - who knows, has not delivered yet
Henderson - who knows, has not delivered yet
Adam - who knows,

Doni - too early to say/include
Coates - too early to say/include

so about a 65% success rate in signing thus far. How does this balance against the rest of the top 6 ? Anyone able to put wegner, chelsea, and fergie figures from the past season down? Might give some meat to our expectations?

Man U

Smalling - great signing
Jones - great signing
Young - great signing
De Gea - somewhat good, jury is still out.

I'd classify Suarez as a fucking amazing signing.

'Good' doesn't do him justice.

I know hc, but for now - just separating the good/great and the who knows

Modo any bad signings by united in the past two seasons? None come to mind..

Wegner has signed a few duffers, chelsea too?

lindegaard too?

I'm not sure you can judge whether a player was a good signing or not without considering the fee involved.

How is it okay to make a call on some after only a few games but for some others it isn't?

I mean, Bellamy is rated as a good signing based on playing in 2 league games - which we lost - and one decent game against Brighton, yet Adam has played virtually every game, has one goal and 3 assists yet its too soon to rate him somehow?

Same with Downing really. I has looked good, but he hasn't scored or even set up anything. At least Henderson has a goal to his name doesn't he?

Henderson and Carroll, to date, look like a massive waste of money.

Adam is an average Premiership CM. Put him alongside another average CM, like we have done, and we'll continue to struggle.

Downing is severely overpriced for what he offers. He's done okay so far, but he's hardly a revelation.

Suarez, Enrique and Bellamy all look like great signings. The rest have an awful lot to prove.

Ritchie its just a generalization, very subjective. We also know well what bellers has to offer....rather than assess the standards, just want to get an idea, at this point in time, on how much success clubs get per transfer window(s).

Ok, to keep it comparable to kenny, 2009-2011 - so add those three fergie signings plus owen, and it's

Three successful, plus the little pea, four signings a definite success..

And then the rest thus far... (da gea could come good) - but four including owen not so much..

So 50% success rate (not a scientific barometer, more based on consensus)

Are we really so mesmerised by stats that we take assists and goals as the only measure of quality? We've played some good football this season and Downing's played his part in that by giving us width and balance down the left.

well I was told we signed him because he'd guarantee us ten league assists this season. So why not judge him on that ?

Even if it is one of the stupidest ways to try to measure anything

Yup width and balance gives us the points and league title.

that's fair, let's see if he has delivered that at the end of the season.
