If it breeds one thing, it might help continuity and cohesion, having a settled team with a few quality players beyond that. We just have to cross our fingers and hope we don't get a major injury and then perhaps we'll make it to January and see where we go from there. One big problem is our Europa League Group, which is more competitive than we'd have hoped for. So.....

While last night was a bit gutting, I think in hindsight that's still quite healthy though is still behind the top 5/6 in terms of experienced goal threat, that's the issue we've done to death since last night, with a bit of luck though one of Pacheco, Assaidi, Morgan or the new kid might be more than we expected in terms of quality. Yeah Marks OP has made me feel a bit better. Suso I think is the main one to step up. Our first XI is as competitive as anyones imo.

However the one I have the fear for is Borini. A lot rests on him and so far I haven't been overly impressed. Early days though.

Unfortunately many of them lack experience..

We get a couple of injuries to key players, we are in trouble, that's my bug bear tbh..

You can rule out Joe Cole.. constantly injured.. We really need to get him off our books..

Hopefully we can get to January and patch things up a bit more with some signings..

The squad has been rebuilt and isn't as thin as some people are making out. Rome and all that ....?

Our only obvious deficiency is in attack. Dempsey would have been a great pick up for 6M and it's insane that we didn't stump up the extra 2M for him. Like it or not I can see us going for Owen as he would fit well into that forward three.

Suso could/should be added to our Midfield options, especially since Lucas is out for 3 months.
