So is this the rumour thread for Jan now?

Shite rumour btw, who cares if some unknown kid from a country who haven't produced a consistent level of top players since 1994 is linked with a club in a downward spiral.

Never quite understood the rules on here, is a rumors thread allowed or do we need one for any specific rumor?

Anyways here's a juicy one (I believe if this happens that it'll be the most expensive Swedish transfer ever exceeding any of Zlatan's in the past).

Victor Lindelöf, 22, central defender playing for Benfica wanted by United and a rumored fee of £38M speaks a bit of volume.

Kind of don't know him at all and the few times I've seen him it's not like he's stood out like some defensive spearhead but I guess he's actually pretty awesome seeing these type of stories emerge?

@Modo?

Mendes client?

Klopp back to BVB? Tuchel and Dortmund struggling this year. We've had the rumours of Bayern potentially trying to bring him back to Germany, I wonder if BVB would try? I can't see it personally

How does one become a football agent? With the more and more money being thrown in the market, this is such a dream job.

Odegaard to be loaned out to Heerenveen @cloggypop

Could be a good move for him.
They are doing better than normal (in 4th now) but they aren't very good. They also have a stupid kit with seablatts on it.

He could do with playing though. Let's hope he does better than Bojan did in the Eredivisie.

Will be good for him to get some game time and I'm guessing the Dutch league will suit him quite well.

Actually Julian Brandt would be perfect to replace Mane if Bayer can be convinced to let him go mid-season (that's rare for German teams). He has found a bit of form after a slow start, 2 league goals and 6 assists so far.

Think Völler said he wouldnt be sold, but I guess money talks. He'll cost a shitload but it will be worth it. Excellent player.

There's no evidence from elsewhere about this that I'm aware of, but FWIW: a caller to TalkSport has just said that Joe Hart has signed for us, but will complete the season in Italy because he can't play for a third club in the same season.

You can be registered for 3 clubs in a 12 month period so the caller is talking through his arse.

And even that aside why would Klopp buy a goalie commanding a big transfer fee and wage who doesn't play the way the manager likes i.e. good with the ball at his feet and able to start an attack from the back?

Joe Hart to Liverpool is nonsense thank God.

No idea why we'd sign an Arsenal reject to sit on our bench.

& when he does play he has 1 good game in like every 50 games.

Is he a reject? He's been good this season and has loads of potential.
He's a bit injury prone though.

I've always thought there was a really talented player in Chamberlain and Wenger was the wrong coach for him, I reckon Klopp could turn him into quite a fantastic player and I'd be quite excited by his signing, however I think Arsenal would demand fuck loads for him, so it's a no go.

He's only got 18 months left on his current deal so they can't overplay their hand too much as this is the last window where they could expect a decent fee for him. It's entirely dependent on whether he actually wants to go or whether he's just trying to leverage an improved contract. With both Sanchez and Ozil also haggling for massive pay increases they may be prepared to let Chamberlain go.

Liverpool are monitoring Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s potential availability at Arsenal as Jürgen Klopp considers ways to assemble a squad with extra depth and durability to sustain a challenge for the Premier League title.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is one of the players Liverpool have identified but there is also an awareness at Anfield that turning that interest into something concrete will not be straightforward bearing in mind the various politics between the two clubs and the current state of the Premier League table.
Arsenal are fourth, nine points off Chelsea at the top and three behind second-placed Liverpool, and would have obvious reservations about allowing any of their players to join a direct title rival in the January transfer window.
To complicate matters further, the relationship between Liverpool and Arsenal was undoubtedly harmed during the 2013 transfer saga involving Luis Suárez and the infamous attempt by the London club to trigger a buyout clause that turned out not to exist. Liverpool were incensed that Arsenal bid £40m plus £1 for the Uruguayan and, three and a half years on, the damage to the clubs’ relations is still to be fully repaired.

The interest from Liverpool, however, is genuine and there is hope at Anfield that Oxlade-Chamberlain might be tempted by the vibrant side Klopp is building at a time when the player’s valuation is starting to recede because he is within 18 months of his contract expiring.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has scored six times in all competitions this season but has become frustrated by his inability to pin down a regular position in Arsène Wenger’s team, starting only eight Premier League matches and lasting the full 90 minutes on only one occasion, when West Ham were beaten 5-1 in early December.
At 23, however, he is still young in football terms and a player who joined Arsenal from Southampton for £12m in 2011, shortly before his 18th birthday, would still be a relatively expensive acquisition, with a valuation in today’s market in the region of £20m-£25m.
Arsenal were open to the idea of selling him in the summer but Wenger stated recently that he wanted the player to sign a new contract and remain at the club for what should be the best years of his career. Arsenal, however, have not shown any great desire to instigate talks even though a number of clubs, including Manchester City, Leicester City and Southampton have persistently been linked with a player who has 24 England caps.
