Isakly what we need

@bluebell , hope you are well, can you give us an update on this, do you know where Isak is hiding in Spain ? I know about your ITK connections so please share with us.
I don't know where you get the idea I am an ITK. I get my news from the same place as everyone else, and thats X. Its not a secret he is training in San Sebastian.

Isak is worth it. He's going to score a lot of goals that will help us win trophies which is what it's all about. When we win those trophies we won't hear the negatives about the fee.

It's a lot of money but what some fans don't realise is that the club is sorting out the Salahless future this summer with Wirtz & Isak. The suits behind the scenes are on it & doing a very good job again.

Agreed. If we win 3+ leagues or CLs in the next 6 years he's with us, it's worth it.

Especially if we get on overpriced fee from the Saudis (to funnel money into Newcastles pockets) for Darwin (65M+) and add that to 90M for Isak.

If you take football inflation into consideration, we are over paying but consider what clubs paid for in the past, remember what Figo and Zidane went for and that was back in the early 2000s. Then we had the massive transfers of Ronaldo, Courtinho, Neymar (twice) and Mbappe

If we want to sort out the Salahless future we should just sell him.

I'm much much more worried about the van dijkless future. Who wants to be dijkless.

We sold SvDB, Fabio, Morton, players who costed us next to nothing for 60-70m. If we can get 50-60m for Nunez, it's the Isak money right there.

It's not my money and I'll rather that be spent then going to somewhere else. And Isak seems to be the best number 9 we can buy right now so let's get it done.

To those who don't see the point in splashing the cash on Isak....
Imagine we had him in the CL against PSG and he was on the end of a couple of those early chances we had in the first 10 or 12 minutes of the Anfield game...
Different game, and no doubt, different outcome maybe...
That's the difference a top shelf No. 9 makes sometimes...

I’m just convinced that Isak will get injured and be out for a long time and we will have no money to address the problem.

I’m usually over-optimistic, but for some reason, not in this case.

So we're hopefully buying a ready made 9, and we've also bought potential of a player who (statistically) is the most Isak player out there.

I get it. I'm fine with it but money is too much to fail.

I'm concerned, but optimistic

With Sesko we’d be buying potential and not the ready made plug in player.

True, but it would still have been my preference. In addition to the fitness question his game is already highly developed for a 22-year-old, IMO the sky's the limit as far as his future potential's concerned and we now have Ekitike on board as well.

I don't think the structure of our team is sound enough to play with Salah on the right, devoid of defensive responsibility, a very attacking am with wirtz, and a forward on the left who at any other time in history would just be a striker in gakpo. Against rubbish or chasing a win, maybe. Situationally. All the time though? Those three massive investments for me don't go together, Salah goals and tired legs, an am, and a striker. Did I miss where we monstered everyone in midfield? PSG could just as easily skull fuck us if we are too light.

Leipzig baffled by Newcastle €80m lowball bid for Benjamin Sesko. Anger at conduct & suspicion they've "bottled it"…etc

RB Leipzig view Newcastle offer for Benjamin Sesko as insufficient. #NUFC proposal €75m + €5m after #RBLeipzig asked interested clubs for ~€75m + add-ons + sell-on. #MUFC pursuit also continues but no bid yet. 22yo undecided. W/ @SebSB @TheAthleticFC

they bid what they were asked to?

Possibly no sell-on? Also suspect Leipzig will want a bidding war so they were probably never going to accept the first offer they got. Getting angry about it is over the top though, it's hardly an insulting offer and if the player is undecided it's not like they've gone and turned his head like... checks notes... us with Isak.

yea it’s nothing to get angry about, literally got the asking price and can probably now negotiate around the sell on.

just reads like newcastle were miles off

I think the sell on is nuts at that price. You are already paying above and beyond to buy potential. The risk is all yours.
