Isakly what we need

Boss players come to Liverpool and play boss from the start. None of this give him time shit. He has also got some questionable professionalism about him being so massively unfit.

I think the best example to counter that is Firmino. The manager at the time didn't know how to play him, and maybe Bobby also might have needed time to get used to the team, but whatever the case he was shite. Klopp comes in, and Bobby instantly turns into one third of the best three-man attack in the world. They don't necessarily have to be great from the start.

The unfit part, yes I agree. WTF has he been doing?

The list of players who just look in place is way longer. Most recently Hugo.

Although that's not always true. Andy Robertson, Henderson and Suarez for example.

Slot really mismanaged the strikers. Hugo on fire, Isak not yet ready. He then drops Hugo to play Isak ruining both for the next games

It’s kinda understandable. There is considerable pressure from all sides to get Isak up and running.

Rightly or wrongly 130m signings dont get to be taken out of firing line and eased in like say a Robertson.

Wow. He's played (from your own chart) just 493 mins, in a mostly dysfunctional team, with a player on his right that has fallen off a cliff, FBs that have yet to sort themselves out and are different from game to game, and a mish-mash of a midfield that is only now just beginning to sort itself out - and that is the conclusion?

Look at his form at Newcastle for the true ability of this man. Injury, fitness and the team's inoperability are the key factors behind his failure to hit form yet.

I have set the bar quite low. I just want to see GLIMMERS that he might still be good. A great shot, a nice and clever run to make a chance, a lovely pass that opens up space in a move. Not seen one of these in 500 minutes. 140m transfer record.

I get that, and the last 30 min won’t get Isak up to speed, but the team comes first.
Set up some u21 games or something and build his fitness there.

It's tricky because if we were a team that could maintain tactics throughout a game it might. The challenge with giving Isak 30 mins in our current season's approach is that this is when Arne decides to sub full backs and put on strikers, throwing the kitchen sink.

Its all hypothetical but we would have been better off giving Isak a lot of 20/30 min sub appearances to find some rhythm & intensity and then only worked the minutes up once he was able to handle that for 30 mins. He doesn't look fit enough to be able to press the way we need, and maybe that is something he's never had to do before.

Suarez was absolutely boss on his debut. You could tell from that half he was quality.

I’ll give you the other two. It’s still a small list compared to those who full the boss from day one column.

The goal was quality.

I don't think any team/manager maintains the same tactics throughout a game any more. Klopp said he didn't and Slot also said they may change numerous times throughout a match.

I absolutely agree with the second paragraph. However regarding pressing - he did that very well at Newcastle often as the sole front man so again I'd put that down to injury/fitness.

You guys are too negative for me.

I don't think it's negative to be alarmed by his form. It's objectively been a very poor start for a player whose whole sales pitch was that this is a nailed on, established in the league, hits the ground running purchase. You know, all those dumb things we tell ourselves?

Doesn't mean he can't be great, doesn't mean I don't get the context etc etc. You buy a player like isak and he will make a very good team great. A force multiplier for a very good team.

We haven't been a very good team. We're just trying to become a team of any kind, and isak hasn't helped one bit.

When people bring up Suarez in this situation, this is an impossible standard, but that's what we are always hoping for. We are spoiled and I will not reform.

Isak is unprofessional for not having played games in pre season and having been injured. Fuck me.
This is the first week since August were we havent played a game midweek and people still cant understand how difficult it is to play catch up, and that its individual in terms of how quickly it happens.

He’s been here four months and still moves like a cripple.
