The only reason we're prioritizing this purchase is because we're losing an

I think it is 50/50 at best and that is maybe even finishing third and going straight into league draw.

I hope that new contract does entice him to stay, even if he just gives us that one more season in the champions league. Hopefully being one of the most senior players in the team, and potentially making him vice captain, assuming Agger goes, will be enough. Saying that, should probably focus on making sure we get fourth first.
