Florian and the (Slot) Machine

Scholesy loves him. That is enough for me!

You tell these wimps Jurgen !

Jurgen Klopp on Florian Wirtz: “His quality is so outstanding. The discussions are a bit exaggerated. Liverpool just lost three games in a row, which is unusual. But that’s also normal in life. And that’s why such things are discussed there. [Wirtz is] a once-in-a-century talent, and at some point he’ll show that in every game again - just as he did at Leverkusen.”

Klopp: "Nunez is a once-in-a-lifetime talent."

Klopp: "Keita is the picture of health".

Klopp: "Karius is the new Oliver Kahn".

And Klopp expressed his delight at acquiring the services of the former FC Barcelona man, who has 22 international caps for Brazil to date.

Offering his reaction at a press conference on Friday, the boss said: "What does he bring? He's a really good footballer – I think we all agree on that.

"He had a very exciting career already and still pretty young, so in the best age for a footballer or coming into the best age for a footballer.

"He gives rhythm, he can give rhythm, he's a really good passer, has speed with the ball, safe on the ball and, how I said, can demand rhythm, which is pretty important, really good in tight areas – all these kind of things. I like it a lot.

"And now, of course, it's like this, 'Why can you loan a player like this? Because it didn't work out 100 per cent at Juventus.' But I see that rather as a positive because the potential is, for sure, still there.

"We play obviously different to Juve and we all thought that could fit pretty well, so that's why I'm really pleased."

Same... The issue is that Slot hasn't figured out what to do with them yet and it'll be a little while until things click. Individually the players are all fucking ace and you can tell they all want to fix things. Getting on their backs now isn't going to do any good... But the good news is, if they can avoid all the internet bullshit, 99% of the people who turn up to watch us at the ground on Sunday will be right on their side.

Yeah instant gratification culture has fried people's brains and I'm not even talking about Twitter which is just a hellhole full of bots and rage bait farm accounts these days
