Has he decided to definitely go to Utd?
I think they will sell a few in some dodgy deals, Garnacho keeps being linked with Chelsea for one and that gobshite Anthony will rock up somewhere for a sizeable fee based on nothing.Yeah Sesko has probably picked Man U, don't think they'd bid for him if they didn't get an indication that he'll join.
What I dont understand is, how are Man U able to spend £70 - 80 million when they've already spent £130 million this summer?
I thought they were skint? That's what everyone has been telling me anyways.

i think there’s a sniff in the air of united slowly improving and newcastle stalling at the moment.
This is what I find funny about all the people moaning about the Glazers "bleeding them dry" etc. Exactly how much would they spend WITHOUT owners who enjoy spending some of the money they make each year? It'd just be a different set of people moaning about their total dominance and how unfair it is and something having to be done about that instead.
yea they’re still not champions league material but i also feel like this season in the cl might be the last newcastle enjoy for a whileUtd wont break into the top 6 until they improve their goalkeeper, defence and midfield though. But should finish in the top 8 now.
All joking aside, they've bought reasonably well in attack and still have Fernandez, so I think they will beat a lot of teams "on their day", same old.Utd wont break into the top 6 until they improve their goalkeeper, defence and midfield though. But should finish in the top 8 now.

Its weird that Newcastle look to be so amateurishly run. No Sporting director and Howe's nephew trying to sign players. I can see why Isak is desperate to leave. Bruno and Tonali will probably want to do so after this season as well.
Yeah, true. They'll be a better team this season, no doubt.
I've said this a million times too, I've never understood why they are the target of their frustrations. They've spent massively, it's just been spent very badly and they've had a succession of managers who've failed regardless of talent. There are definitely deep rooted issues, but I'm not sure the issue has been the money, it's been the structure. They've identified poor fits and toxic personalities for years now and just about every department, that's probably on the Glaziers, but like you say, they've spent. (Though I think some of the frustration is how much debt has been put against the club).
Instead they put closet scousers in charge, oh well.Their problem is the Glazers seem absolutely spectacularly shit at running the club. Like to an almost malevolent extent. It does look like sabotage to a normal third party observer. I don't really understand this. It seems like the easiest thing in the world for them to just hire the best executives in the business and let the trophies roll in. Instead they've let clowns like Ed Woodward run the show for years.
It's really perverse. They could have won 5 times as much and made double the money if they just let competent people run it.
Everton does have a manager that suits them though and can get the best out of the ones he's got.Newcastle's summer has been the biggest clusterfuck I can remember for a while.
Everton's has been a shambles, too, but it's going slightly under the radar.
With Mbeumo and Cunha they'll be better in attack whether or not they sign Sesko, so other teams won't be as free to go at them as they have been in recent years. If they sign Sesko as well, and if he settles quickly, I can see them getting to the lower European spots. Unfortunately.

I think they'll have a decent season.
Mainoo is good, but will fall by the way side if they don't get their shit sorted soon and put a quality midfielder next to him. Imagine how good he could have been at City or Liverpool. They'll have to get them to play and work together as a team though.
Their midfield with Mainoo and Ugarte is still one of the worst in the league, and Onana is their goalkeeper.

He's exceptionally good at getting teams to punch above their weight too, I wouldn't rule out lower Euro places for them either, unfortunately.Agreed, and Moyes is quite good at signing players that fit the tactics he'll use at Everton.
Midtable finish I reckon.

They're money men pure and simple, with no knowledge (or wish to acquire knowledge) of the game, and they appointed someone in their own image when they hired Woodward. He actually did well keeping the money rolling in but knew bugger all about football, and it showed in the managers and players they signed.
