Isakly what we need

I can see us going Rodrygo and Guehi with that money then using next season’s Salah money to go for Isak.

We’re gonna do just fine without Isak this season. May even go another direction next season.

Rodrygo wants 4-500k a week. I don’t think anybody is going for him at this point.

That doesn’t make sense. Gakpo and Salah won’t play in the 9 position. Wirtz can but as a false 9, not the same.

We mostly start in a 4-2-3-1, and will have/should have 2 x quality 9’s.
Rooney and Ronaldo never played as a 9. When Ronaldo was playing Rooney was playing deeper or more out wide to accommodate Ronaldo. Tevez was another who played deeper than an orthodox 9.

I am kind of hoping we miss out Isak this here and see if he can manage a season without injury.

I would be happy with a CB and Rodrygo or Fofana as a cheap alternative.

The open ah for an a is definitely a difference between the UK and the USA, but I'd say the ñew in Newcastle, as opposed to the hard n is the even more obvious giveaway?

Where does it rank on the dreamy risk-o-meter?
He’ll definitely score a lot of goals so in that sense it’s low risk. If we don’t continue our success then we’ll be fucked financially so it’s the accumulative spend that frightens me and when @Beamrider is worried then I’m shit scared.

I’m hoping they’ve heard City are getting off Scot free and have the money and thought fuck it.
He’s arguably the best striker in the world so if we are going to spunk 100m+ on a striker might as well be the best.

@bluebell , hope you are well, can you give us an update on this, do you know where Isak is hiding in Spain ? I know about your ITK connections so please share with us.

You make it sound like going into the season with our newly signed £70M striker would be madness.

If it is, why the fuck did we sign him? We should have signed someone good.
Ekitike is unproven, so it is a risk. And if he gets injured, who plays up top?

Slot has said he wants two players for every position and we don't have that right now, assuming Nunez will be sold.

Isak is worth it. He's going to score a lot of goals that will help us win trophies which is what it's all about. When we win those trophies we won't hear the negatives about the fee.

It's a lot of money but what some fans don't realise is that the club is sorting out the Salahless future this summer with Wirtz & Isak. The suits behind the scenes are on it & doing a very good job again.
