Contador 2 seconds ahead of Armstrong after this 1st mountain stage
Nothing happened untill the last 3 KM when Contador attacked. He took 20 seconds to the main contenders
Feillu won the stage and Nocentini in yellow.

No, Hushovd finished second. His lead is down to six points.

Wiggins lost a few seconds becasue of the crash that happened in the last 2/3 km. He's now in 7th and 1 minute down.

I thought if there was a crash in the last 3 km everyone in the bunch was awarded the same time.

Can anyone clarify this, please?

This is a great little site from the main one. just a rolling flash of the stage. i liek that you can see the terrain and the gaps.

Great result for Wiggins getting the time back and Cav winnning the stage. might be back in the green shortly as there is a sprint very early on.

Otherwise, might be a Brit record for stage wins tonight if he bags it.

ITV4's results program at 7pm is great, if you cant sit there and watch it all day (Like i do given the chance)

Contador to win the Tour.
Yup, seems that way.

Contador ftw.
Cavendish in green.
I coulda had a twofer but for Cav making those pesky barriers curve inwards

Bradley suffered a bit today.

Still amazing to see him in with the main contenders.

The TT tomorrow is important, but with Mont Ventoux to come on Saturday, not conclusive.

Wiggins still has a podium-stall to set out if he does well tomorrow.

My fellow countryman Hushovd was excellent today, looks like the green jersey is his.

I concur.

I was surprised to see Hushvod climbing and TTing. Well done.

Cavendish is great at the bunch sprints but can do little else.

The fucking Ventoux today. Wish i wasnt at work.
Contador looks nailed on ftw as i think most of us thought.
The podium has to be an open competition though. Andy Schleck has a minute on Lance and then its buttons back to 6th.
Im going to say that 37 year old Lance will struggle to maintain 3rd today and that Schleck will ride well.
1st Contador
2nd A.Schleck
3rd F.Schleck
is my prediction going into Paris.
Brilliant Lance. Whats the point doubting him. He's incredible. With HIS team supporting HIM next year who's to say he cant do it.
He's ridden beautifully and faithfully for Contador who has been flawless.
Great race. Ive really loved it.

He will need a very strong team. Contador is stronger now.
Dont discount Bruyneel.

Impressive Cav on the Champs Elysées.
Most popular Tour in years. Main reason being Armstrong comeback.
It will be interesting next year, Contador and Armstrong wont be in the same team.

Not to mention Cav and Wiggo... meaning at last the UK have riders they can cheer on.
