That kid whelting one into the net in front of the Kop almost brings a tear to the eye.

How good is football.

His smile when he was coming on and when the game finished was as infectious, youthful enthusiasm at it's finest.

Happy with the win.
A few positivse (TAA, Ovvie, 2nd half by Can & Gini, Origi 10 minute's goal)
A few negatives (Moreno shooting, 1st half by Can & Gini, Mane being 'off' again)
But another SF berth, job done.

So happy for the lad. Hope this is the start of something great.
Fuck Coleman if he picks him for their senior squad just to tie him down to Wales or whatever.

I remember 3 years ago when I said the team had a chance because of how close knit it was ... You're seeing something similar here - look how happy Milner was on the sideline after Woodburn's goal ... You get the same sense here - minus a world class goalscorer, but you get the sense we're on a magical ride.

Didn't really expect Milner to celebrate like that since it's his boyhood and home town club but I guess he was just happy for Woodburn.

Woodburn's gonna get all the accolades obviously, but that TAA is a seriously talented full back. We've got a gem there.

He's equally good at CM from what I've seen at the youth level. Which is perfect for Klopp, for whom CM and FB are mostly interchangeable positions.

Agreed Trent is a one for the future. Not sure if right back is his natural position but he did really well.

man oh man, i re-read my post and I can tell I'm fucking exhausted (I repeated myself 3 times in a sentence and a half). On that note, good night!

Origi and 75mins - match made in heaven. Very happy for the kid and the best thing about the goal was the build up and final finish. I enjoyed that game. We are so dominant in possession.

Now please don't do this shit with Woodburn and TAA...

If some PR smart-arse suggested something like this now, I'm sure Klopp would shut down the idea immediately and probably throw in some choice German swear words for good measure. There is nothing that irritates him more than non-football distractions and putting undue spotlight and pressure on young players. Can't imagine how he would respond to a suggestion of shooting a reality TV show like "Being Liverpool" in his first season.

Mignolet was good. Lucas had a very important game and really played responsibly.

Mane really exasperates me sometimes. He can play like a really fast player who doubts he's really fast. Instead of trying to win free kicks by falling over early on, and passing back instead of skinning the left back, he should have bossed the attacking play. He's got so much more to show.

Inevitably, players were looking up unsure of where unfamiliar teammates were, or passing without looking, so we were too slow or too sloppy at times, but we ran with the risks and got through it after a pretty dodgy period in the second half.

As for Woodburn, Inglethorpe sees him as a striker, Wales see him as another Aaron Ramsay. A nice combination. But I agree with Inglethorpe. He's just too natural a goalscorer to play in a deeper or wider role. Thrilled for him tonight.

Tuned in just in time for Woodburn's goal. Beautiful to watch. That kind of instinct is hard to teach. Good result.

It wasn't as easy as he made it look. As Macca says, he's a natural. AA's ball for Origi was without doubt the best cross by any of our fbs this season.
