I knew we'd win tonight and get in the semis. In the back of my mind I knew that if City lost tonight then we'd be favourites for the title.

Imagine that bus home from London tonight. Pep is only arsed about the CL. Palace might fuck them. Spurs might fuck them. They might fall apart. I fancy us for the double now.

Maybe not, but this is the best night of football since we three nilled them last season, and I'm offering free wanks to everyone.

Spurs had Kane and Alli hobble off no?

As much as I want to think that City will stumble against Palace, I can't see it. Given they'll practically play an ENTIRE different (and fresh) first 11 against Palace (or at least 7-8 changes). I think they're more likely to drop point at OT than anywhere else.

Have to say Pochettino is a good tactician and a good manager. I'm so glad United didn't get him.

City will win the league game against them, unfortunately. Can't see Pep getting it wrong twice in quick succession. They'll overturn the 1-0, too.

And a free rimming from me! Pucker up buttercups! 😛

Not going to gloat. Quietly taking it in, one game at a time. We now have 5 Premier league games left and 4 more CL games left if we go into the Finals of CL. Come on reds

Kane will probably miss the rest of the season according to Poch. Alli was just a knock appaz.

The return leg is in 1 week. I think its pretty clear that Pep will have that in mind for the rest of the week and before the Palace game.
It will also effect the attitude of the players.

Palace could be a game now were they drop some points.
Fingers crossed.

Spurs are a better team without Kane leading the line. More balance, harder to defend etc.
I think his injury solidifies should help them finish top 4 ironically.
If I was Levy, I'd sell him to Madrid for 150 million & Courtois & Varane.
Then use the 150 to buy two Moura/Son like attacking talents (say Sancho etc)

I said it in the match thread, but I'll say it again, this City team are mentally a true reflection of their manager, and they don't handle defeats well. They've won about 15 games on the trot, and you could see an aura of invincibility starting to form around them, just listen to Warnocks comments before and after their game, they'd won before a ball was kicked, however this loss will knock that.

I'm not sure if they'll drop points against Palace, as they'll want to produce a reaction with a highly emotional performance before the second leg, however this is a wobble for them and it breaks the aura, moreso than that, Spurs figured them out, they put Ali, Eriksen and Son around Fernandinho, and he was completely overrun.

I really hope that Oli watched tonight, and he started thinking about Pogba, Lingard and Rashford overloading that space and causing them the same issues, they can all run with the ball, and they're all good enough to pass around an outnumbered Fernandinho, and then run at a terrified City defence.

Yeah, because Oli is doing the tactics at Old Toilet. We can hope Phelan was watching.

How much is Son worth in today's market? He'd be great cover for Bobby.

Palace are shite, but they have some excellent players, and particularly on the break. And that wee ground of theirs can just become a bear pit if the home side have a sniff. Palace have taken 4 points from their last 3 games against City which is the equal of anyone.

Son would be brilliant for us. And he seems like a sound lad who would just fit right in. Someone tell me his contract has run down. IMMEDIATELY!

Sadly he has 4 years left on his new deal. Would take an astronomical bid to get him.

Fantastic player though.

Guardiola hasn't won an away game in the knock-out stages of the Champions League without Messi in his side, and hasn't reached a final since 2011, despite managing the richest and most dominant clubs in Germany and England since then.

He's been in shithouse mode since getting bumfucked by Monaco and us last season, and pulverised by Real in Munich in 2014.

Big, baldy Mekon shithouse cunt.

No offence, these [Kane and Alli] injuries are being overblown. Spurs without either of them went on a great run which shuddered to horrible splutter once Kane and then Alli returned. It will be a more balanced and committed Spurs.

I don't buy this at all. I know it's become a thing to point out how well Spurs do when Kane isn't there, but to simply conclude that Spurs without Kane are a better side is risible.

He's one of the best strikers in the world.

Alli isn't playing well, that's simple enough.
