Well, my last pick was reserved for a 10 to replace Slobbers - even in fantasy land I though there’s no fucking chance we’re signing Wirtz (to be fair we’ve been at least linked to every else on my fantasy list since).
So… fucking hell… how can you not get excited about this.
This would be like Zidane actually coming to live in the house he bought… like us signing a 22 yo Steven Gerrard… it’s like Ronaldo telling Fergie to fuck off and signing for Houllier instead… it’s like Simao’s plane has finally lifted off the tarmac!!!
Let me put it another way - it’s like Jude Bellingham choose us over Real and turned out to not be an absolute dick of a person.

£355k per week will probably be something like £300k salary, £55k image rights.
You then need to add social security to the wage costs. That adds £2.2m per year. This is an area where British clubs are worse off than those on the continent as their social security costs usually cap out at around £60-70k per annum, where ours are uncapped.
We'll also probably be funding VAT and tax on the player's share of the agent fee - that will add £6m (total).
So you can add £17m to his overall estimate, plus performance bonuses.
