Isakly what we need

I blame that tap in cunt for this retarded culture of engagement farming every football transfer with 150 non-updates. Just imagining getting a dopamine rush from one of these tweets makes me want to strangle everyone with a Twitter account, including myself

I went out to get a coffee this morning and ended up adopting a new doggy.

He earns abut 4 mill $ a year from the like farming and engagement. I’d do the same in all honesty even if it’s a shitshow.

Once we decided to drive to the shelter to donate some stuff and "just see", it was inevitable we'd be returning with the first doggo to grab our heart.

If it happened to be a boy, Diogo would have been his name.

Still setting on a final name choice, the leading contender at the moment is GG (or Gigi if you ask the missus).

Newcastle journos expect an official approach now that Diaz has been sold.
Bid incoming. Jeezzees, this could be happening.

Predictions on opening bid?

I think 110m +20m

They'll refuse, but that's the opener

If he’s storming off and refusing to train or play, I’d hope £120–£130m would be enough, but we’ll probably end up paying more.

I suspect we’ll see a much narrower front three, with almost all the width coming from the full-backs, and Isak, Ekitike, Gakpo and Salah playing closer to three strikers than we’ve seen before. It’s the only way I can see the logic in spending so much on both Isak and Ekitike. Even then, I still have a few doubts, because Gakpo, Ekitike and Wirtz all favour the left side, leaving us a little short on right bar Frimpong. But anyway, we'll see how Slot pieces it together.

If we do get Isak, it's gonna feel very like when Rushie came back from Turin. We'll have two practically identical players at CF, and I can't see how they'll compliment each other... It'll be interesting to watch how it works.

I was trying to think of an example where fans were perplexed by a signing, looking for a plan but not seeing one, only to be surprised as it unfolds over the course of the season but couldn't think of one. Can anyone else?

Of course not, we are always right, don't be silly.

If you watch the Ekiteke analysis from the YouTube gurus he gets most joy operating out left. I think he's our starting inside LWF. Gakpo won't be happy. When Isak is fit he's our starting Striker.

I just wonder about he's personality. I fucking HATE his celebration and he seems to have fucked off the entire Newcastle squad with how he's handled himself.

I know his job is to score goals and yadda yadda but id hate to think we're throwing away our no dickhead policy to the tune of 150 million and upsetting a group of no dickheads just because.

I’m getting Caicedo vibes over Isak. Not saying he wouldn’t be a superb signing, but instead of signing Caicedo we signed Macca Szobo and Gravy.

I think we could do the same at CB and transform our team for the long term.

I have this feeling our central defence will drop off this season with Virg a year older and no true CBs to manage the load.

I was bored at my son's football training so listened to this video that Craig Hope did about Isak's situation. Isak was told by Staveley her bloke that he'd get a new contract (despite having at the time 4 years left) that would put him northwards of 200k a week; when they got the boot and Paul Mitchell came in he reneged on that 'deal'. That's where the initial ill feeling has come from, as far as Isak and his agent go. So this isn't just about stuff that's happened this summer, he's been disgruntled for a while.

I think we’ll make a great CB addition as well. Most likely Guehi.
