Looks like there is a match at Wembley this afternoon

Darren Bent may be the first man in history to blame the ABSENCE of a beach ball for a missed goal opportunity.

Got in the car turned in 5live to see if I could find how many Sri Lanka ended up smashing and they were commentating on england didn't even realise though I should have after seeing six guys wearing England tops earlier near train station

Fair result I thought. The Swiss were the better team first half, although comedy errors from England's defence didn't help. England were better second half and could have snatched it but that would've been harsh on the visitors.

Well done to Robbie Keane on his 50th international goal. No disputing which country he supported as a child.

51 goals for Ireland ... That's quite impressive for Robbie.

Can't disagree, it takes a player of immense quality to score a goal like the first last night. Nobody else could have deliberately aimed the shot directly at the defender's thigh in order to benefit from a deflection that tricked the keeper.

It was amazing.

No rant.
No expletive filled missive,
Just some mild sarcasm.

I could have played for Macedonia last night and not looked out of place. One of their players just got released by his club in Azerbaijan.

although Keane got both goals the shot of the match award has to go O'Shea who connected very sweetly when he habe away the penalty.

[/quote]I only caught the last twenty minutes of the match.
It was awful.
Trappatoni has brought us some luck but I am not enamoured with his style of play

As I think they said after the match, another manager could get us playing better, but its unlikely another could get the results he has.

To get Robbie scoring two goals in an away meaningful match says it all about him.
